I've had this car 1 month, I'm still jerking in 1st gear. but my mechanic drove the car, & checked it out. He took off in it, no jerking like I'm still doing! There is still a big difference from my 02 gt manual to this gt. Sometimes the engine cuts off, when I'm not giving it enuff gas like I'm just beginning to learn how to drive a stick like when I was a kid! Is it just me or I still need to get used to it?

I went from a 1.5 liter Turcel to this. Yes, I stalled it a few times. Especially reverse. Keep your eye on the tach. when starting off. Find the sweet spot and listen to the engine. Leave the tunes off for a little while. haha

I drove a S197 GT for my wedding a year ago. I already knew how to drive a stick, but it still took me some adjustment time. We took it out for several test drives before the big day so I could get comfortable with it and not embarrass myself when pulling away from the church with all the people watching.

Just give it some more time and you will get used to it. For me, it seemed like the clutch didn't have as much travel before it engaged as any car I had driven before. It was a lot more on/off feeling. However, after driving it for several hours, I was much more comfortable with it. Given more time, I'm sure you will be too.

I've had my car for 6 years. Last year I put less than 1500 miles on it. It still takes me a half-mile or so until my shifts smooth out. It just takes getting used to the clutch. For me that's almost every time I get in the car. :D

I believe it has a lot to do with the drive by wire and the stock software. Getting a new tune for my car made a BIG difference in how the throttle responded.

I think the biggest difference going from RX-7 and Z's that I've had to Mustangs is the torque.

Don't need to rev much for 1st gear, can practically put it in first without any gas, hard to stall it compared to high revving lower torque cars.

Even with a V6!

every car is different
in my car the clutch is much heavier then my brothers 2010 VW jetta wagon or when i drove his 2007 corvette

the only thing i dont like is when i drive the VW for a day then go drive my car the difference in the clutch is massive i almost stalled my car a couple of times
it all takes time to get use to it
