what is the stock exhaust piping size on the 2007 v6 mustang after the cat. Because i plan on going a 1/4 of an inch bigger than the stock size.

i agree, the 2 1/2" is plenty for even a modded v8. and thats the size all the mufflers are made for. its allready over kill for the v6. the y pipe is 2 1/4 on each side and steps up to the 2 1/2. so thats what you are after anyway. with my h pipe when i cut the y, the h was made to fit over the 2 1/4, then its 2 1/2 all the way to the mufflers. :shiny:

Yeah, you don't want to go any bigger than 2.5 in. There probably won't be any measurable performance gain. The dual 2.5 is probably the largest you want to go unless you go F/I with alot of psi. Even a hi-po 5.0 would run extremely well with a single 3", but anymore than that is just not worth it.

no bigger than 2.5'' :nono:

you will lose torque and your car will end up being slower
