Storage questions

896 Views 4 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  AMWill
So today I found out that the indoor place I was planning on storing my car has no room, and being a broke college student it will be parked outside my house. I live in Vermont and some winters can get really bad. Right now I have it parked on wooden blocks. Should I use or not use a car cover, if so what type. I am aware of all the proper steps to store the car just looking for advise on how to prevent more rust and protect the paint. It has been driven almost every winter before I owned it so its kindof rusty on the bottom. Only one small visible rust spot though. Any suggestions would be great, thank you guys for all the help.

If you can afford it you can rent a storage unit and store your car there. As for parking outside. I would say a cover is a must if you want to protect the paint.
Buy a proper fitted cover for your car, not a generic medium size one. Try American Muscle's site for an idea of what a good quality breathable cover would cost. Don't cheap out here.
I might sound stupid, but check the internet for people renting out a garage. There are several sites that list them. People will do just about anything for money these days.

I agree with getting a car cover that fits your particular Mustang for the best protection. Check out our Outdoor CoverCraft Deluxe Car Cover! It's specifically designed to protect your 99-04 Mustang against the harsh elements (assuming you have a New Edge Mustang).

If you have a 96-98, we have the same car cover for that body style too. Let me know if there's anything else we can do!
