The street car shootout will now take place the same weekend august 20/21 as the Browne's Auto Supplies 10.5 tire shootout. Event will be heavily promoted thanks to browne's steppping up to promote the 10.5 shootout in a big way. K rock will be live on site that sunday and next week on wednesday on the go with sharon snow will be doing a piece on the event. Also hope to have a couple of cars as a display at the bowring park show sunday coming. The nsma street car shootout remains sponsored by Constantine's and we thank them for their continued support.
Should be a very busy weekend with lots of quality racing. Imports are very welcome to participate and we thank those who turned up last sunday event though it was raining.

Dave, are drag radials acceptable? They are DOT legal, Mickey Thompson ET streets. They are worth 4 tenths over my street tires (which are very inconsistent).

As per the previously posted rules....

"Having DOT tires with minimum 3/32 thread depth."

As long as you meet that criteria, you're good to go!

Thanks, just wanted to be sure, I think I can make it that weekend and the car is way more fun to drive on the 1320 with the DR's on. My street tires don't hook up at all in 1st & 2nd. If I remember correctly, in previous years DR's were not allowed.

Yea there were some different rules in the past depending on what class you were in, but last year and this year it's all good. Hopefully weather (and work) cooperates this time! :)

Hey Guys,

If I were to make it to an event like this, where would I find the rules info and what class my vehicle is?

Guys if you are going out strongly suggest that you get there early especially if you plan on running your car. We have a lot of racing to get in so the time lines are going to be very tight. Hopefully the weather will finally cooperate!!
