I recently bought a used 2011 v6 and was wondering how risky it would be to remove the side stripes since they've been on there for nearly 3years. Anybody out there with an experience removing stripes after 2+ years, or knowledge in this area would be appreciated. Car is kona blue with white stripes that come standard on most 3.7s

Yep, there have been a few of us do it, just take a hair dryer to it, peel slow, then wash it, really easy, takes like 30 minutes

Thanks. Probably wait for some warmer weather then remove it. Did you notice any fading when you removed yours?

I took mine off a few weeks ago, after 2 1/2 years in the bright Arizona sun (Candy Red Metallic paint). No fading at all! Heat those mongrels up, though, or else you'll have a fight on your hands.

I didn't see any fading, i did mine in the garage when it was 25 out

I'm waiting on some smoked tail lights and side markers to come in. Maybe I'll do it all then.
