Anyone ever atempt to take the OTT stripes off a GT500? If so, how did they come off? Paint OK? Any razor marks? Other issues? Thanks

Anyone ever atempt to take the OTT stripes off a GT500? If so, how did they come off? Paint OK? Any razor marks? Other issues? Thanks

From what I understand from many others who have done this, it is relatively easy. The suggestion is to use a hairdryer to heat the stripes to soften the adhesive, then slowly peel them off continuing to add heat as needed. No one that I recall has experienced any clearcoat/paint lift or other negative issues. Most have done it for personal preferance or to have them painted on. The newer the car, the easier it is to get them off. Good luck.
