If you use a copper gasket, you won't have the problem of your header gasket blowing out on you. They're a little more money, but well worth the money you'll spend, Mike. :bigthumbsup:bigthumbsup
I went with the felpro "performance" gasket. I think it blew out because it was a gasket for a stock header and the exhaust valves on these heads are 2.02.If you use a copper gasket, you won't have the problem of your header gasket blowing out on you. Yeah I sent you the pic it was pretty bad! Hopefully this weekend we can look at it mon to fri I am working 530am to 1130pm gahthere was 2 bolts that came loose, so we tightened them down then realised the gasket was blown out, i couldent hear anything over the exaust leak to tell what was making noise.
that's not the reason...and the intake valves would be 2.02,not the exhaust...standard header gaskets suck and blow out all the time..i prefer solid copper as well...ive reused mine like 4 times alreadyI think it blew out because it was a gasket for a stock header and the exhaust valves on these heads are 2.02.
