Supercharger compatible NA mods?

All,
I'm looking at purchasing a centrifugal supercharger for my "ferociously, fast foal", but I won't be getting it for a year most likely. In that time, I'm interested in doing smaller bolt-on mods to take the 'Stang up in hp from stock. However, I don't want to waste money on mods that will just have to be taken off and sold on Ebay at a loss next year. I've seen stuff mentioned piecemeal, but thought I would start a thread specific to the following question:

What performance mods can one do that will play nicely in the Supercharger (CF) Sandbox?

From reading the boards, I've arrived at the following list of mods that will work with a centrifugal supercharger and those that won't. Any help, advice, corrections, additions, and snide remarks are welcome...

Will work
Headers
X-Pipe
Exhaust
Gears
Charge Motion Control Plates
All Suspension and brakes

Won't Work
Pulleys

List good though I might rearrange the order
Would add CAI to the Won't list for now
You can pick up a tuner... it will come in handy later... I've been recommending the SCT X-Cal2...

You can check out Lidio's blown 05 at his site..... www.alternativeauto.com

A year away? Dood get a CAI/ tune now.

If you go with a Saleen you can keep the CAI. If not, you can sell it easy enough. Lot's of '06 n00bs will be in the market.

Why waste a year of the best mod not incl S/C?

Yep, this was my thinking... I'm waiting on my C&L/SCT2 right now...

Then in maybe April (if I can wait that long) I'll order a supercharger...
Right now $3200 for the 400rwhp Vortech blower is not looking like a bad
deal...
Get a CAI and programmer. Get anything on that list. ENJOY!

...anyways spend it now, why wait for so long. Sell it on Ebay if you don't need it. Take a loss who cares if YOU GET TO ENJOY it all that time. Heck man, a YEAR! that is forever behind the wheel. Live for today. You might not be here next year preacher!

A C/F S/C will give power in the high end, X-pipe will move it further, maybe a more open H-pipe system, or stay stock (H-pipe.)

Gears and S/C might not be the best if you wanna hook... unless you're gonna get stickies...??

Get a CAI with a tune/er now, then get the Tuners Kit when you order your S/C, ~$1000 less, and reuse the tuner and the MAS. The only thing you need to add after that for a complet S/C package (Vortech) are 39 lb injectors and a fuel pump or Boost-A-Pump... And you might want some gauges with a pod...

PS. I changed the thread title. Please make them make sense guys! Tx!
Sorry, kj_cinci. I was just trying to inject a little levity into the thread title.

Unfortunately for my Mustang, we just found a house to buy, so the fundage for the moddage has dried up. I really like the JLT CAI with the Tuner, but I think I'll start with headers and exhaust.

Do you all like the Tuners for the improved throttle response and taking out all the Ford "safety" programs that sacrifice performance for reliability? I have a 5 speed, so will that make a big difference? I wouldn't think my Butt-Dyno would notice 30 more hp....

I know you guys sometimes are clever with your titles and I like it but they have to lead browsers right...

The JLT is very good powerwise if you can get it to stay on... I do hope they have fixed those issues by now...!?!

The tuner is, again!, oh so worth it! And yes you will feel a 10-15% power increase! Especially with the better performance not power related (throttle response etc.) Not to mention the oh so mean and lovely intake growl from the CAI! Anybody can put on an exhaust (see ricers) and make noice, but untill it sucks it only blows! [Wow, I should copy-write that one!] :happyhapp

Congratz on the house! I hope it all works out!
