personally I'd spend the money to build a killer 347, putting a blower on a stock motor will net little hp comparatively speaking

$4,500 seems high if your only going to use it for 5lbs. Doesn't Vortech have a 5lb kit for like just over $2,000? That might be your best bet if you boost your stock motor.

You are already putting down 300? Is that flywheel or rear wheel?

You are going to need to go bigger than 24# injectors, I think...

5-6 psi on the stock block is about 75 HP+. 4,500 is way too much for a entry level set up. 130HP+ for an entry level is maybe what a magazine sats haha:nogrinner

so i put the supercharger on my 302 306 hp engine
and now i have 310 hp to the wheels
Hard to say what you had or didn't have but what short/long block was it? It sounds like a stock rebuild.

Post up the dyno sheet so we can check it out.

it was just a 302 5 litre stock upgraded engine with 306 hp instead of 225.... and i threw the supercharger on and now it has 310 hp to the wheels i got it tuned and dynoed new chip but i dont have a read out but thats how much hp i have now its decent its fast i dont need to go crazy... wasnt my plan to go all out and have rediculous horsepower im not racing down city streets and gettin my car taken away for stupidity

I think you are mistaken. A rebuilt 302 is usually bored .030" over making it a 306. That is to say 306 cubic inches of displacement, not 306hp. You probably had barely over stock horsepower with the 306.

Redlyr has some good deduction skills and has a point.

There seems to be some vagueness here and very unsure of parts tho but if it put down 310 to the tire then that is what you have. It was most likely a stock rebuild and then you slapped a SC on there.

I would buy some books from the S.A. Design line. Read them. Then if u have a budget of 2500, go by a mustang on craigslist. So u don't trash your daily driver. Seriously.

I dont know where they got their numbers but they are wrong. Although being a carbed motor they may have gained some but not 80 hp. Everything on that build is OE I would report them to the BBB. You have a 225hp motor with a SC that is adding 85 hp. With those pistons I would highly suggest you have the right size injectors, fuel pump etc and have it tuned by someone who knows exactly what they are doing. Unless you want to buy another engine.

Well, does the car FEEL a lot faster after you put the supercharger on it? If it feels faster then you gained at least 20hp, it's hard to feel any gain smaller than that.
