I never had this problem before. I installed a JLT ll intake with a Bamachips 87 perf tune for the JLT. Now I seem to get a surge at Idle that goes from 400 rpm too 900 rpm. Everyonce in a while It will stall. This usually happens as I am pulling up to a light and put the clutch in to shift to neutral. I know that there were some issues with air mass sensors on older 5.0s and was wondering it this could be the same problem with the JLT? Is it a tune problem? Anyone else have this problem? Thanks GA

EXACTLY the same problem I had upon installing my C&L..400-900rpms for a bit, come to a stop with clutch in, stumble stumble stumble...stall....I pulled the throttle body end of the cai off, cleaned the back side off the butterflies and inside the tb and all problems were INSTANTLY solved!!seems to easy but it was all that was wrong with mine, and I never had any idle issues pre-cai, they seem to make the maf more sensitive, try it you will know after five minutes if it worked..I didnt have tb cleaner so I wet a rag with some brakecleaner and wiped it out with my finger, good luck

+1 to blak05's suggestion. A dirty TB can cause all sorts of problems.
Other possible causes are vacuum leaks at loose CAI connections and at the MAF sensor, dirty MAF sensor, and a bad TPS.

Thanks for the tips....I will try and clean my TB this weekend and see if that does it. Also check the voltage at the TPS. Hopefully It will go away cause its a PITA. GA. I got the 500gt front conversion from my local ford dealer who sells me parts for cost + 5%. I paid $1600 complete including paint. If you cant work out a deal with your local ford guy I recommend Kevin at Clevparts.com He is the fellow who first put together these kits and really knows what he is talking about. GA

Your voltage should be between 1.19 and 1.31 volts.

Do you have a SCT tuner? if so..try SCT's 87 tune. I'm a firm beleiver in trying the simplest thing 1st.

See if that resolved the issue. I run the SCT 87 octane with with a JLT intake. My car has never stalled.
