hey I am currently attempting to replace the driver side power window switch and the center console power mirror switch on my 1990 LX convert 5.0L

i was wondering if anyone could give me a tip on how to get these off.
the driver window switch doesn't have a connector so im not sure how to remove it

also how can i get to the connector for the power mirror switch.

also im in need of a new key alarm buzzer any idea where i can get one my local stores don't carry the item.

thanks for reading! hopefully you can help me out :bigthumbsup

To get the center console off you have to pop off the gear shift cover to get to the two screws there, and the rear ash tray cover or arm rest has to be removed to get to the other screws. Engage you parking brake, and it should come up enough for you to get to the underside and the mirror switch.

The driver door window switch does have a connector, just trace the wiring back. Take the arm rest off by removing those two bolts, there may be another screw for the arm rest...anyway, you can access the switch from there. I don't remember if you can get to the connector from there or if you have to pop off the door panel. There are a few miscellaneous screws to look out for if the door panel has to come off; most are the plastic door panel push pins.

There are youtube videos around showing how to remove the door panel if necessary.
These are from the Mustang Shop Manual and might be of some help :?:
That's cool. Looks like you might not have to take the arm rest off at all, maybe, depending on where the connectors meet.
