I'm not sure if there's a different version for the Sync without NAV, but as far as I know 4.0.2 is the latest version for the 2012 Sync with NAV.

I have no Nav, and that shows up as what Im running, so I should be good, thanks!
The site can't state that unilaterally because it varies by options (nav vs. non-nav) and model year.

if you log in the site will tell you if your car specifically needs any updates.

For my car, a non-nav 2012 GT, 4.0.2 is the newest version.
For my car 2012, V6 Premium without Navigation, it says I have V4.1.3 installed.

I had a problem with Sync in my car and the dealer installed it when they fixed the problem. I've not really noticed any changes over the original version the car came with.

Hi, Wrext & PoitNarf -

Like 412horses was saying, update availability depends on the model, model year, and build date; having a standard radio or a navigaiton system doesn't make a difference. If there's an update available for your vehicle, it will display below the picture of your 'Stang on the SYNC UPDATES tab.

Let me know if you have any additional questions. :)

No mention of an update needed, so thats great! thanks! It would have avoided my question if it said "YOU ARE RUNNING THE MOST CURRENT SOFTWARE" or something would be nice!
