I just did my t5 swap about a week ago and i noticed that it didn't want to go into 2nd. The t5 was just rebuilt and doesn't have more than 300 miles on it. I figured it was just my shifter but i switched out shifters today and its still doing it. It will go into 2nd if i drive slow and i can start off in 2nd but if i'm trying to change fast between 1st and 2nd it grinds. What do yall think it could be?

sounds like the syncros are out of wack to me

Either a synchro, a shift fork, or the clutch not disengaging.

hey i have the same problem... so what was your problem with your t5. when i shift at higher rpm's it grinds, but when i when i press the clutch for a second then put the gear into 2nd, it does grind...
