For her birthday my daughter is asking for "a regular radio" for her 05 Mustang. The previous owner had put in a Pioneer DEH-7700MP and it sucks.

The car has the "shaker" speakers in the lower portion of the door panels, good Pioneer speakers in the upper portion of the doors, and the stock rear speakers.

I'm looking for a stock Ford radio that will work with the 6 speaker system. An auxiliary connection to an MP3 player would be nice. CD is a must and a changer even better.

Is there a list of compatible Ford radios that will fit and work with the existing speakers and wiring harness? What is the stock system called?

Most have the Shaker 500/1000. Go to crutchfield.com and look there. Good info there.

Yeah hers is the Shaker 500, since the trunk is empty. It looks like the 2005-2007 are all the same and don't have an auxiliary input.

Just ordered from replacementradios.com. $200, brand new, cheaper than ebay.
