Team Shinoda Chin Spoiler Installed

I'm almost reluctant to post this. I finally received my chin spoiler from Team Shinoda out of Florida and got it installed. It wasn't a pleasant experience just getting Jim to simply deliver it to me. Some of you may have read my post back in April about this spoiler. I ordered it on April 14th and received it August 9th.

After 4 months of waiting and a number of excuses on what took so long it arrived. However, it arrived without instructions for the installation. I received the chin spoiler and a bag of bolts.

None the less, after all the troubles, when I finally received it last week and installed it I really like it.

Here are some pics for your enjoyment. If any of you decide to order one or have already done so and need some help with installation instructions let me know. Once I got under the car it took a few minutes to figure it out. The installation was pretty easy.

That spoiler looks great! Sorry to hear about all your troubles, but I must say that is definately looks good on the car. It does not stick out too far, it looks just right.
Quick question.... did the spoiler come with that finish on it? Or did you have to get it painted?

You can order it in Black or White. The Black comes prepainted and ready to install. It comes in white prepped to be painted your choice of colors. I would imagine that if you took it to a good shop you might pay somewhere around a $150 - $200 to get it painted.
Spoiler looks good. I hope they didn't have your money for four months. Regardless, I would have to El Paso on a company that did business like that. JMO
I emailed him too because their website sucks. They dont tell you specs or prices yet they have different levels of performance, from almost stock to twin turbo but you only see that in the latest addition of a mustang mag. Maybe im missing it. I didnt get any real details and no price in the reply. Just a quick one liner. They are just up the road from me so i was curious about it. I might sell my GTO for the the cash. But that, coupled with your experiance give me an uneasy feeling. But it does look great. Mine is redfire too
An alternative to avoid delays, etc is www.classicdesignconcepts.com Their front chin spoiler needs to be painted, but it looks great and comes with complete instructions. (Install was really easy) I also went with their rear "duck tail" spoiler and love it.

I like them too and im waiting on their glassback roof. I live on the coast so it would be nice.
I ordered one about 3 weeks ago. Hope it gets in soon. Your right thier web site is one of the worst i have ever seen. Can't Imagine having a web site like that if you are trying to sell stuff!!!. anyway. any advise on the install??? and what size and brand are your tires.
PS. Car looks great....

Wheels are boyd codington smoothies, 18" front and 20" rear. The tires are Bf Goodrich G-Force Non-traditional tread, front 255/40ZR 18 and rear 285/30ZR 20's. Thanks for the compliment on the car.

It pretty easy to install the spoiler. I used jack stands to get it up in the air and used 4 spring loaded clamps to secure it to the bumper to get it lined up. It comes with a small alluminum plate. Look dead center at the bottom of your bumper and you'll see two small screws. Take them out and the holes in the aluminum plate line up with those holes. Attach it to the bumper using the screws you removed. Next, you need to drill a hole through the very center of the spoiler into the aluminum plate and through the bumper. You'll have a flat head screw, nut and lock washer that you use to attach it in the center. Next evenly space 3 holes on each side to secure the rest. I spaced them from the outside inward. It comes with 6 additional bolts ( 3 for each side ), flat washers, lock washers and nuts.

Let me know if you have difficulties. Send me a private message and I'll get you my phone number and I can walk you through it over the phone.

BlackMustangClub's Nationals are the 3rd weekend in October here in Dallas, and I want to have this on my car by then. Do forsee a delay in getting it shipped to me by then if I ordered it this week?

Thanks,

The chin spoiler looks really good on your ride. The wheels are my favorites and had a chance to pick up a set.The guy who ordered them dissappeared and showed up the day I went to pick them up.Unfortunetly he had money down on them so they honered the deal.
Ordered mine on Tuesday, and it arrived today. I'll be putting it on shortly and will take some pics of the finished install!

@$$%&^ My slope of my driveway at the streer just scraped the crap out of my new spoiler. So now I basically have a $300 fiberglass piece of junk. Freaking home builders not getting crap right!

So, no pics of my install, as it looks like turd!

Think urethane.
