I am on it!

I hit the Zaino site and gosh..... so many products.... I don't know what to buy. Seems they have a good following here. Can you suggest a "kit"? I saw one that had an accelerator in it and I can't think what that would be used for.....

I am looking for expert opinions for the care of my Stang with their product line...
My personal opinion is to get the accelerator. It helps the polish "cure". I wasted some in my first get go. One ounce will do for two coats. I also recommend the z-6 spray, it really works. I did not but the kit, only because I did not feel the need for a scratch remover and that is the only item in the kit I did not order. If you think you need the remover, or will have leather, then get the big kit, unless you have a different preference for a leather product.

I bought three of the $20 Microfiber bath towels from Bed Bath and Beyond. They feel softer than Eqyptian cotton so I went for them against the recommendation of Zaino.com. When using one (a cut piece from the towel) to wash the car, I could not believe how truly soft they are. I then used one towell to dry the car. I don't know what you mean by "waffle weave" but if its what I'm thinking of, I cut off any part that was not "fluffy" and had weave, including the ends and edges of the towels.

I think I went a tad too light on the first half of the first coat. But keep in mind 6+ yrs of doing washing/waxing/detailing cars for a living, rather training others to do it (I would always detail out my own car.)

I user towels to dry the car...not remove wax. Old t-shirts are great for removing wax and polishing your car.
Yes, but I would simply recommend using only the softest material to touch the paint. The premium towels provide "cushion" to any possible debris and the t-shirt will probably not. imo, but use what you like. Ask 100 people, get 100 different opinions. Take mine with a grain of whatever it is.:laughlitt

guys..take a look at your paint in the light; look deep to the bottom, (not the surface). I see swirl sand scratches that appear to be from about 180 grit jitterbug sander..... I noticed when my '05 was new it had soft paint. I put a gouge in it from my fingernail. Now the paint has settle down and done its evaporating stuff and looks to have laid into the primer coat without much of a filler coat after sanding. It is something an experienced eye can see... Take a look and let me know if you have the sand scratches....
Sorry, Only saw a couple of very minor paint imperfections and some small black spots that were removed with the clay bar. I have a trained eye for paint finishes and do not see what you are talking about. Maybe I was one of the "lucky" ones????

BTW...what's the secret to attaching a picture to your message?
When you post scroll down a bit and you will see a button named "manage attachments" and take it from there. It would be neat to see what you have been talkin about.

I was just checking out the girl with the blue sweater, on the Mercury commercial. Nice. Why is there never a Mustang commercial?
Mustangs sell themselves.

Just got back after picking up my car. What a car! Gobs of power. Great sound. Very flat in the turns. Having a quick bite, then back on the road. Pictures later.
hehehe, Ragnar... Do you have more miles on her than I do mine, already???? Have you hit 50 on the odometer yet???

If I noticed that type of "mill work" thru the paint I would take it back under warranty. Just recently have people started taliking about this. Maybe Ford got a bad batch of paint or whatever. I would take it back to the dealer, just my opinion. I see nothing of the sort on my paint finish, thank goodness.

My being able to cruise on such a nice day has been plundered again!!! Today I picked up the Mayor from San Marcos, TX and 5 others whom are all part of their city's planning commission. I'm "drivin miss daisy" and crew around and to dinner. Good thing is... I get a great steak dinner tonite.:eyepoppin

They are all very nice people, but I wish for once that when the weather is nice that I would have the time to break the 50 mile barrier on the odometer!!!

How annoying is it that the traction control comes on by default???

Anyways, by the time I got home tonite 9:15 or so from dinner (with the mayor and others from Texas) I was still itchin to get over the 50 mile mark, so I took her for a spin. I have about 80 miles now and went to pay a visit with some relatives staying nearby for a wedding my wife and I are attending tomorrow. Anyway... my father-in-law, a die hard Chevy fan (last person in the world that would dare buy any Ford product) is now thinkin of goin out and buying a V6 stang as his fun car. I never thought I would ever hear that come out of his mouth!!! Anyways, seems that everyone absolutely loves the car and my mother-in-law has always said she would like to get a retro stang, her favorite car.

On another note:
Finally goosed her a little bit tonite, WOW, :eyebulge: the one - two shift is nice zero to around 60 in nothing flat, purely effortless. Keep in mind I been driving cars with half an engine for awhile now. The power and sound is completely awesome. I can't wait for a "Round-up"
Talk with you guys soon,
Drive safe.

Think your gonna make it next week waxed?
I dunno yet. A lot depends on the weather, as I previously stated. I just did a mapquest on it... Total Est. Time: 1 hour, 24 minutes Total Est. Distance: 59.86 miles
Holy crap!!! what a cruise from Aurora. But, it may be one of the last opportunities for a nice cruise this year. Let's try to get a "for sure" count sometime before then. Do we have any idea who will make it as of now???

My typical day at work....Like today:
News: "Hey guys, there is a hurricane coming."
Us: "Should we shut down servers?"
"Do we evacuate?"

The Man: "Hmm, let me call my CO"
His CO: "Hmm, let me call my CO"
His CO's CO "Let me call the General."
General's Secretary: "The G's not here, can I take a message?"
"Oh, no, no. No need to bother the big G, I'll call back tomorrow."

You get the picture?
That graphic!!!! ROTFLMAO!!!

Damn, my front bumper is predrilled.....and we don't require the front plate here...
It's not the factory that drills the holes. Ask your dealer why the holes are there.
