The owner of Zaino occasionally pops in onto the Corvette Forum, and has said that a common problem is that people go too heavy on the coat. Go light he says, for better results.
Now I say, get micro fiber towels and use them for nothing else but the Mustang. Take your wash and dry towels and cut the borders off. Rip the labels off. And the number one answer is: Refrain from touching your vehicle.

It really is flat in the turns. That is how I judge suspension. There is a spot on my way home from work that is a hair-pin turn. We call it "Dead Man's Curve", (old Goddard, if you're from around downriver), because now and then a car slides off. The G.T. shows no noticable lean.
If the Corvette people only knew how much fun they could have for half-price.

Hey there, fellow Michigander here, what size wheels do you have? I have the 18's and find them "twitchy" if I hit a bump.
I have the the 17's. At work today, I noticed one of the Manager's G.T. (separate parking lot), had 18in S.V.T. wheels. Great looking, and looks exactly like the new Shelby Mustang wheels. The problem with modding though is that you could just save up and get a Shelby 500 Mustang.

Cost of 18" GT500 Wheels & Tires ~$1,600
Cost of Shelby GT500 over GT ~$16,000 (If you're Lucky)

You can do alot of mods for the 14+ Grand difference!!!
There's something to what you say. I imagine that the insurance company is going to want to get a big increase too. Shelby 500 G.T. is just such a bad machine.
