The driver of what used to be a rented 2016 Mustang convertible miraculously walked away unharmed after an accident that would turn the car to little but twisted metal and wasted money.

The driver was found, still strapped to the drivers seat, despite the fact that it and the drivers door had been flung from the wreckage,  reports Seattle's KIRO .

The driver was said to have been doing 90 mph in a 35 mph zone when he crashed into the Burke Gilman Bike Trail. Witnesses claim the car sheared itself in two after hitting a pole, and sprayed the surroundings with shattered glass and discarded nuts and bolts.

Seattle police have released the uninjured driver while they consider just how to charge a man who really should have died. Miraculously, the pole only suffered cosmetic damage.
