The ricer "flyby"

2114 Views 21 Replies 14 Participants Last post by  BoostNStang4.0
The story is the same time after time. Nitrous out of the hole, 0-60 in 4.32 sec on the 100 hp setting:happyhapp , go up to about 80 mph, then tap my brake lights to let the ricer know "you lose".:evillol: Yet well after I have already slowed down I get treated with the "300mph flyby". Exactly what they are trying to prove?

Its just not ricers, either. Same thing happened with a Dodge Ram truck with a hemi. Some people can't accept defeat I guess.:madas: AND WHY the Dodge Ram thought he could hang with me in the first place I don't know...

I save the full passes for the track....I want to keep my lic, but its hard because their are some many ricers that need to be spanked:sterb: here in California

i hate that, normally after i beat them ricers ill go into the same lane as the car im racing and put on my brakes just to make it final
mbw1979Do you have stock tires on?

no, I have 18 inch rims with 255's, but they are still street radials. If I had some drag radials or slicks I might be able to do a 12.40.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

It's the only way they can show you any tail. Kind of like when you're next to one in some moderate to heavy traffic, and they fly by because their lane is moving faster, (probably while fantasizing that their little economy car could actually make that happen on the open road). I had one of those tonight. (honda civec... as if anyone even gives a damn).

4.32?! Wow that's fast. How do you know that? Do you have one of the little devices that tell you 0-60?

The flyby was cuz you embarassed him. And it just sounded like 300 mph probably cuz of the fart can on the back.
Ahh, the EEEEvil fart can....

No ricer is complete without one....

How about tose pop outspinnerz for them? Those are cool Yo!
I'd love see a ricer flyby'er hit a slick patch and crash and burn....Some things would be too good!
Tw0scoops....4.32 0-60 mph is not that hard to do when a stock 2005 GT can do it in 5.1-5.3. Add a 100 hp nitrous and a sct tune and its really quite easy.

Yes, I have a Gtech monitor with the laptop software. Its really amazing, even takes into account rollout (which you can adjust, depending how you stage at the track). I like to use it because the timeslip at the track really doesn't tell you that much. With this thing, I can download runs to the computer and view everything.

It's just amazing and comforting at the same time that it can keep up with a vette with an "easy" tune as you put it.:worship Can you get those numbers with a Vortech instead of Nitrous?

Of course, as long as you get it to the ground my friend.....and one more thought.....when the vette puts on the juice or S/C, now what?:what:
#@!&ing rice fartcans!!!

I had a guy pull up to me last week, looks over at me and rev's his fartcan. I just  at him and shook my head.

These guy's think it sounds good.:thumbdown
Yesterday on my way home this dumbass in a Sentra SE-R with dual cannons flies by me right after I merge onto the highway. So I hunt him down and fly down the left lane, I think he was trying to get away but obviously couldn't and I forced him to move outta the way lol. After that he just stayed behind me and didn't try any funny business. I guess they think if their car has an 'R' badge then it must be RRRRReally fast? Civic Si 'R', Integra GS 'R', Type 'R', SE 'R'... damnit to me it just stands for... you know it...... 'R'ice.

You did all that because someone in a Sentra just passed you?

I don't even want to know what you will do if a Geo passes you.

lol.. I took it that he was trying to state something by coming up my bumper then ripping it passed me and charging towards the left lane, I took it as an invitation for some ass whoopin.
All right guys. I usually don't race, but this Cavalier Z24 was in front of me getting on the highway. She was at the stoplight racing her engine with a big fart can on the back. I wasn't sure if it was a muffler or a smoker for the family's Holiday Ham. Anyway, we get going and she is trying to pull away from me. Of course I'm still in second gear, we get onto the highway and I can tell she is trying to get on it, so I pull next to her and look over and see what appeared to be a big round clock sitting on her dash by the pillar. I guessed it may have been her weight watchers scale, but it must have been a tach. At that point I was only in 3rd gear. Anyway, enough of this, I punch it and shift into fourth and I'm gone..... I was stuck at the light off of the next exit, she pulled next to me, and didn't even look over. That's okay, I would have laughed at her anyway.....
Issuing out major spanking is so much fun... I'm seriously due for one, I haven't been challenged at all, lately... I hope my time will come.

As far as the "Ricer FlyBy", I believe it's because they think we're still racing and they want to match the speed we hit, then surpass it. I still haven't quite figured out this funny creature called the "Typical Ricer", but, Crikey, I'm going to be in the bush watching it's ever move.

Nice kill!

Oh man.. last night coming home, what do I encounter (now this is seriously off-topic as far as rice goes but anyway...) a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo. I was trying to entice him to race for maybe 10km. I didn't really want to 'race' him I just wanted to see that thing go. He started to get annoyed and began weaving in and out of car at about 100mph, but he didn't get away from me. He was one of those real snobby a**hole supercar owners too (ie wouldn't even glance over at me). We ended up getting off at the same exit then he ripped it a bit but I didn't try to chase him. I guess for those guys a Mustang buzzing around them is like some rice rocket trying to entice us on the road, sometimes it can be fun, and sometimes it's just plain annoying.
I really don't ever go out and look for kills. In fact, it was my first one in 3 years. I was alone in the car on my way to pick up my Daughter(14) at school. I told her about it, and she just laughed and shook her head. She loves that stuff. She's a future Mustang maniac for sure.....
I think the ricers do the "flyby" to tell their friends that "Mustangs have no top end" or "I let him get six or seven car lengths away, then reeled him in!"

There is also the feeling that maybe they are showing you how fast they are. "You beat me on acceleration but I won on top speed"

Even though they blasted past you at a whopping 90MPH, at which speed, I would still be in third gear.
I like passing them going the opposite way at a stop light. It happened yesterday. He was revving his hampsters at me and I just laughed. They get so pissed.....
