Like many of my projects, this one starts with one part that i got for free and decied to build something around. Only this time the part is a high-nickel, very early casting 351C crank that is in immaculate condition.

It's such a nice crank that I feel i should use it for something, but I have no idea what to do with it. Have any of you ever heard of any cool strokers or other sweet motors that would use a 351C crankshaft?

Thanks,
Brian.

Hood Ornament

You could totally mount that puppy as a hood ornament. :scratchchin Why stuff in the lower end of a motor where you can not even show it off. I would recommend getting a couple tubes of JB weld (much stronger than traditional welding techniques) and weld it right to the hood of your current Mustang.

I would also consider getting a windshield sticker that says "old casting, real nickel!"

Ah just joking. But seriously, I would start by putting an engine around it, and then a car around that.

Hope this help:bigthumbsup

A quality machine shop can massage it into a block and do something with it.
