Im also looking to sell my 07 Pony Pkg with the Interior Up-Grade Pkg and the Preformance Pkg. It has 12K and is in showroom condition. I was hoping for $15K for mine, $13K for yours might be a little high.
In the future sometime I'll probably buy a used 5.0 with low miles, one that I can drive and not worry about getting a chip in the paint on it. I love my stang too and I'll probably cry when it goes after all the time I spent keeping it looking new. Im gonna lose my A$$ on it and that's the way it goes, I'll never buy a new car again, you lose too much money.
Buy that 5.0 and dont look back. Appearance mods and preformance mods wont get you anymore money, people like to do their own modding. As for the new paint job, that might actually hurt the price, it's not original and a repainted car raises questions.
Good Luck on your sale and hope you get what you want.

Ya it may but it's show quality clear and looks amazing I'm debating just trading it in on a 5.0 same color used and being happy. But kinda waiting until I can get a 2011 for under 20
avoid the trade in. I have an 05 Gt coupe leather, interior package, what ever options you could get at the time its got 55000 miles on it. The car has been meticulously maintained overall 9/10. Trade in value...5-8 thousand. Canadain dollars at that, so for you guys down down that would translate to less. I was taken a back. Cars like that sell for 15-17 on the market. From my story here i would say avoid a trade in if you can its highway robbery.

Im not putting your stang down in the least, Im sure it's a beauty:bigthumbsup but my 07 is show quality clear with original paint with not a chip or scratch on it, to look at the inside or out you'd swear it was brand new and the dealer only offered me $12K on a trade, yours is a 05, mines a 07 and a pony pkg with interior up-grade pkg and preformance pkg, so Im assuming you'd be offered way less for yours. The Dealers are a Rip Off when it comes to trade in's, they'll say your car is old and not worth anything then sell it for what it's really worth, there the ones who will make out not you. I;d sell it to a private party. But the older they get the harder it is for a person to get a bank loan for it, the banks dont see the car they see the trade in value and dont like to give loans for a older car, our cars are old to them no matter how low of miles or how nice they are.

Have you driven an '11? They're pretty awesome. A coworker had an '11 with a Roush exhaust. Loud rumble without the drone. Something they couldnt get right for the 05-09. Tighter suspension and they really did a nice job in the interior.

Power-wise, it seemed like about 400hp. Not as fast as my car is right now, but def improvement over the 300 base powerplant on ours.

Because of all of that I'll probably trade up sooner or later.

PS If you want more $$$ for it, put it on ebay or something, you should be able to get much more than KBB or trading it in.

Personally I think you should just supercharge it. That way you'll have the only 05 Grabber Blue V6, that could give lots of cars a run for their money. But this is just my opinion and seeing as nobody has thrown that out yet, I thought why not me..haha
As long as you're "upgrading", sell or trade it. And for the new 5.0's, the decision should be an easy one. They are awesome. We're looking at selling/trading in wifes GT Vert for a 2014 5.0. Let them work any bugs out of the 2013 first. We bought her Vert new, 2006 and have done a lot to it, but, its time to move on up to the 5.0. We'll miss the 06, but assure you the 5.0 will more than fill its place.

I was considering a xcharger lol but I really have my heart set on a 11 5.0 grabber blue so I don't want to dump money into the v6 anymore lol I'd rather save the 3-4 g and have a 14g down payment car+ cash il save. I want a stick just going to have to try to make te 5.0 look like one I have now but my car would be sick with a crate motor lol just can't afford two cars :( thanks for input just hard to think about lol

Keep it as a DD and buy the 5.0 as your beast!

Personally I'd swing by Carmax and get it appraised, swing by the Dealer and see what trade in is then I'd take those numbers and compare to KBB and average them out. Take some pics and throw it on Craigslist and see what shakes out. After that then you can decide what you want to do based on what kinds of numbers and responses you get. Good luck whatever you decide.

It's probably going to be a year or two for the 2011's to come under 20k, unless you find one with a ton of miles on it. But you are looking for a specific color so that will make it harder. When the new motor came out the value of Mustangs has held better.
