does it make weird grinding in gear and wont pick up speed while revving up
Throttle Body Issues - 2011 Mustang 3.7
Help!
My 2011 3.7 went into failsafe mode a few times between yesterday and today (when power goes out, drops to idle, but engine keeps running..or shaking.. and intake sucking in constant air)..
This only happens when I'm in gear. Check engine light came on, went to autozone to run code and it came back "throttle actuator stuck open" So I cleaned the throttle body and at first it performed fine, but threw a check engine again...
Anyone know what's going on?! I will be dropping her off at ford in the morning..

Nope..just no response from the accelerator. I wonder if a loose MAF can cause this...because i just found a missing screw from the MAF.

Sounds like a bad TB controller, its the little black box that is on the throttle body's side, its basically acts similarly to a TPS sensor etc. If that gets all Fd up its possible the computer is going to run the car funny, especially if it thinks the throttle is wide open only and cannot detect its actual position.
I've had this happen a few times to where ill push on the accelerator and it just revs like crazy then nothing drops back down and then will pick back up
