i have an 86 ford f-150 with a 85 mustang 5.0 in it. when i press the throttle to fast the truck stalls so my 0-60 time is almost a minute. a few people have told me it was the fuel line/pump but i have replaced it all. i was wondering if i needed to advance the timing. and if so which way do i turn the distributor??????:eyebulge:

i believe it is clock wise. you will be able to tell anyway, the engine will change pitch
I wouldnt adjust anything without a light.
Wow

does any1 have a different idea about the motor because it is a great motor but it has always had the stall. somebody told me today the 1 of the fuel lines might b getting pinched every time their is 2 much suction in the fuel lines. thx for the other tips 2 :worship
Most older Fords I've owned are all cold natured beasts. I would blame the carb itself if every thing else checks out. Thats what I think is wrong with my 351 Bronco.
the 85 motor is efi but i also have an 82 stang 5.0 that does have a carb and mabye that one would be better. i havent realy seen that many efi motors that have been tweaked with and i wanted to see what i caould do with it.

appreciate the tip
