I'm assuming that you have some precision measuring tools like micrometers or dial calipers since you are building the motor.If it was me, I'd just measure the end of the dipstick tube and drill the cover a couple of thousandths smaller than what I measured and peck the tube into the cover with a hammer then blow it out real well with compressed air to get rid of any metal particles my hammering had scraped loose.Hope that helps.
