I have an overhauled 289 engine in my 67 convert. with a Edelbrock 4 barrel carb. & Dual exhaust
What would be the best timing for it?
It runs pretty good but I am only getting about 10-11 miles per gal.
Is that about normal?

What are you using for a distributor? Both of the hydraulic cam 289s in '67 used 6 degrees at idle (vacuum advance disconnected and plugged, of course). The centrifugal advance springs in those distributors were stiff enough to use as door closers....ideally, you'd want 6 to 10 initial, no more than 32 total if running 87 octane.

Check your vacuum advance to make sure it is working, and remember it should be connected to ported vacuum and not manifold vacuum, tire pressures and rear axle ratios will also effect gas mileage, 10-11 mpg is way low. Good Luck.
