I changed my Spark plugs to accomodate the spray...I bumped my timing a hair just to see what it would do....I ran my fastest time ever...Later to find out I forgot to put that timing chip back into the harness...So i ran on full timing?....How is that possible?

I pulled the pin to set the timing....Advanced the timing and forgot to put the pin back in....So what really happened there?
