so i.ve been messing with my timing on my 90 gt and I can't quite get it right. I know it's supposed to be 10* atdc I set it to around 12*atdc It seems to hesiate when I get on it, and also sometimes back fires through the air filter. Something don't feel right. please HELP!!!

my memory is a bit rusty but it should be 10 degrees BTDC not ATDC

oh yea, B... before tdc. but you will have to experiment with how much. some engines like 10 some like 14-15. bump it up untill it pings and back it up a degree or two.

just redid mine and it loves 13 degrees

Whats the best and proper way to set the timing? Does the spout connector need to be removed or no?

Remove spout, set timing,reinstall spout. Your timing may read above 20 when you recheck. I read this is normal but i'm not sure. Mine says 22 which confuses me.
