Begin by disconnecting the negative battery cable. Pretty much get used to this since it's recommended every time you work on an electrical component.
The wiper knob has a set screw on the side. Loosen it and remove the knob.
The more challenging part is removing the bezel nut. You can try a long thin bladed screw driver or an awl. Gently tap the bezel nut to the left to loosen it. Be careful. The tool you're using can easily slip and scratch the dash. If you are not comfortable with this, most Mustang Suppliers actually offer a tool to remove the bezel nut ($18). To check it out, click on the NPD link below and look up part # 928-1.
Once the bezel nut is off, remove the bezel. Reach underneath the dash and pull the switch out. Unplug the harness connector.
