Tips for drag racing for the 1st time

Turn it off for sure. I also recommend that you go to the drag racing forums and read the sticky`s on top of the page. There is some great information there.

I launch at around 3000-3500 and slip the clutch a little till it gets rolling. If you are running the stock tires its about the only way your gonna get off the line. As far as the tcs, I turn it off when I remember, I think my best time Ive ran was with it on. But if you plan on doing a burn out it will have to be off. Burn outs with street tires is really a waste of time. Stay outta the water box, go up there and do a little spin to clean the tires off and pull up to the line.

+1 hit the nail on the head there. the ticket guy at the end of the return lane said he could tell by the ear to ear smile that i was having a blast :gringreen you will too !!! gotta be more fun than the subaru
