Hello All,

i just purchased new rims and was wondering if i need the lap band sensors in the tires. im trying to save some money. Can the sensor be turned off from the computer, or do i need to purchase the sensors and the sync tool etc. anything could help... or could i cheat and use the sensors from my old tires which are 17" and replace the band to fit my new 20" rims????

Looking forward to the comments

THANKS!!!!!!

dunno about the rest but the bands suck. I tried them and now needless to say, my tires have been on and off my rims a few times

I will need the sensor but you will have to buy new bands for them. If you do not put them on your rims you will get the tire pressure sensor error on your dash and will have to push the reset button each time. The bands are pretty cheap at AmericanMuscle.com.

buy some sensors that go on the valve stems(inside the tires) and a sync tool from american muscle and be done with it. That way if your tire does start to go flat, you'll know and you won't wreck a tire or rim. I'd rather spend a couple hundred on fixing something right rather than run the risk of wrecking something that could have been prevented:bigthumbsup
