I just caught the tail-end of TLC's ride and they where showing how the '05 Roush Mustangs are built. I just Tivo'd up the replay tonight.

Just wanted to share...

Saw it. Good show. Get the popcorn!
Yeah, I caught that too. I think the Roush Mustangs look a bit tacky but the show was cool. He's a pretty crazy guy.

Saw a preview of it a week or two ago on another rides. Was busy doing something else, but my Tivo auto-records rides, overhaulin & top gear... so I should have something good to watch tonight when I get off work.

To me, the Stage ones just don't look right with the stock wheels. It looks cheesy... Like they forgot something. The put on this agressive body kit and leave the skinny little stock wheesl on. Throws the car off.

But I did not know he had a couple P51s and flys them himself. Pretty neat.
if i had one, i wouldn't want it to say "roush" and "jack roush" all over the [email protected] car. seems kinda tacky.
He almost died flying into UNMARKED wires, whatta HEY was he doing down at 70'!??! Kinda like beeing offroading driving into an unmarked rock... now what... sorry, had to vent, that kinda rocked my boat... (I hope the Marine saving his life got something VERY nice/fast!)
my favorite part was when they were showing his mustang garage.the pace cars and the classics.my favorite was the BOSS pace car that does 0-60 in under 2 seconds.:worship and to think its only got 800 or so whp...
Good show but I'm not a fan of Roush, Steeda, Saleen body mods.

On another note, Top Gear is a hoot! Those British guys are a riot! Heck, my wife (who hates when I watch any auto show) enjoys Top Gear too.
another british favorite - 5th gear (maybe they are a progression of the same show?) One of the guys had the world record for highest lap speed in a stock vehicle (McLaren F1) and is an ex GTP/F1 racer. And they're hilarious.

Description of one of the new Mercedes that had a large rear overhang:
"and like any girl with a fat bum, she'd better be lots of fun to compensate"

i saw the show too. the air accident reminded me of what happened at my dad's place last year. he has a place on a river and he was sitting out on his porch. a small plane comes flying really low over the water to go under a bridge coming up. he hit some telephone wires and did a nose-dive into the shallow water (3 feet) right in front of the house. he and his passenger made it out okay, but he had some explaining to do to the FAA. that's what can happen when you showboat, i guess!
Now I know where my and PCFRISCH's original orders went. He must have had 1000 mustang gt's. I doubt that rousch and saleen had to deal with allocation problems. :sosad:

Water under the bridge :happyhapp
Now about those gas prices.........
I enjoyed the show, but have one puzzling thought with a visual from it. Noticed all those NEW Mustangs with all those NEW parts being taken off. Where do all those new, factory parts go? Back to the owner? Back to Ford? To auction? To

No wonder the color of my bumper covers don't match. They can keep their shaker 500's though.:happyhapp
