Touch up paint for Tungsten Grey

Anyone know the part number for Tungsten Grey touch up paint?? I have the color code (T8) but the dealer couldn't find any and said a part number would help him. He even ventured to say touch up paint for 06 colors are probably not out yet. Is this true?
:handball:
It really isn't a big deal but I have this really small chip on the lower edge of the driver door (was probably there when I picked her up...didn't see until the next day, figured the dealer wouldn't take care of it for me since I had already driven her off the lot). However, I want to detail her later this week and want to fill in the chip before I do it.

If 06 colors really aren't out yet, can anyone from San Diego area tell me a good body shop that can mix a small amount for me? :wavey

Thanks.

sorry that i am not answering your question, but, ford the ford parts dept is a sorry excuse for customer service in this area; i have a legend lime gt conv and needed touch-up paint in august so i went to them and they could not find a number either and it was up to me to go out into the lot and find a car and look at the door panel for the code; something like P1 or P8; you would think ford would have a book to look up the code; then it was considered "special order" as they dont stock it; what a joke; on the other hand i have been treated well by the service dept;

just a vent but you would think paint would be on the shelf in some quantity for the current colors;

just demand that they do THEIR job; good luck

Your dealer is full of it, just for the heck of it, I emailed my dealer today asking about it (I also have tungsten grey) and he said he ordered me some and it will take a few days. Funny thing is I didn't even ask him to order me any.
Try www.automotivetouchup.com That's where I got mine.

My black 05 GT had a couple of paint issues that I did not notice 'til after purchase. I called the salesman, and he set up an appointment for paint touch-up for the next Thursday when the "touch-up specialist" did this sort of thing. They did an excellent job and no comment at all about "after leaving the lot" or anything. There's also a TSB on paint due to fallout damage, so if you have a good dealer that values you as a customer, there should be no problem getting the paint fixed.

Thanks for all the help. I think I'm gonna call around and find a dealer that can order one for me. The dealer that I bought my pony from is about 8 hours away so I can't really go back and harrass them. :sosad: I guess I'll just have to call around and find a dealer who is more knowledgeable to order it.

I ordered mine from http://www.fordaccessories.com/prod...stang-Touch-up-Paint/MustangTouchupPaint.aspx . Came in quickly and is a perfect match for my windveil blue. Only $10 too!
I bought touch up from 2 different sources and neither match my satin silver. One is too light and one is too dark. Fugget!!
The LAST place I would get paint would be a dealer .

There are different shades of most any color paint code .

You need to go to a automotive paint store .

With the paint code , vin , a paint scanner , you'll get a near perfect match .

It's the best way .

You'll still need clear to go over the touch up paint .

Just got my tungsten grey touch up paint from the dealer yesterday. you can use the brush or the pen tip with it.
I got my touch up about 2 weeks ago and have been wondering how to use the pen tip. :handball: Never used this type of applicator so I'll wait until I find scrap metal to play with and learn how to use. Has anyone here ever used this type of applicator? Any tips?

Loving my pony....she got her rattles fixed the other day too...can't be any happier (until I get exhaust, CAI and tuner) :laughlitt

There is a orange plastic cap in the bottle you have to remove for the pen to work.
