Well, it finally happened! A filthy and disheveled dump truck decided to drop damn near a boulder-sized rock on my hood on the highway at 65 MPH and took a shirt-button sized divot out of my paint...down to the metal! The offending chip is near the front of the hood above the grille opening. I know from previous cars that I have owned that touch-up paint can be a gooey, sticky & ugly mess. Any ideas?? I want the scar do go away like the best Beverly Hills Nip/Tucker without having to repaint the WHOLE HOOD. :help:

Fill the scratch with toch up color.
- You are best off just taking a small brush.
- Paint over and over again. (thre four layers)
- Let the color dry for about two days(hyper dry)
- Take some clear coat polishing compound, not the wax. (Turtle or wat so ever)
- polish the scratch in the color untill it looks shiny. 45° Angle to the scratch works best. Do not polish for a long time. You would remove the touch up color again.

This looks better than just touch up, but you will STILL see the scratch!!!

Check it out
