TPMS Fault

Just purchased new wheels, tires, TPMS sensors and reset tool. Programming was easy but within 10 miles of driving I get a Tire monitoring system fault with the idiot light on the dash. Anyone experienced this issue? I have reprogrammed the car several times each time having the same problem. During programming, the horn sounds after each tire and the screen reads training complete at the end.

are your tires at 32-35 psi?
I know they are new but possibly a bad sensor.

It wouldnt have honked if it was a bad sensor.

OP did any of the tires honk twice before you were done?

Take it to your local discount tire. Just pull up in front of the air check bay or any bay really, preferably behind a car thats just being started so they dont tell you to move right away. tell them to check your air and re-cync your sensors. ITs free. and you dont have to go inside and wait or anything. just sit in your car, maybe even wow them by putting your car in learn mode for them.

Thanks!

Pretty wet here in WV at the moment so when weather improves, I'll give it a try. The vendor requested the I return everything to get new sensors. I appreciate the response
No tires honked twice. It really appeared to have worked correctly until the message comes back. I'm really thinking weak signal from the TPMS. After the system is trained, all four shouldn't go bad at the same time. I would think if it was only one I would get LF TPMS fault etc.
I agree but willing to try anything to keep from sending back. I have already calibrated the speedo and my boxes are in bad shape. Bummer!
Agreed - it'd be worth paying the labor to have a shop find and replace the bad sensor just to NOT have to deal with the hassle of pulling all four tires!

The least you'll get is a refund for the defective part. I would *hope* that they'l) consider covering the repair cost too, but that's very rare.
If you have a tuner, check your DTC's when the light is on. Itll tell you what exactly is wrong. Discount can do that for you to if needed. Fo free still.
