i have a 97 gt the tps is reading 19 prcnt when it is hooked up to the throttle body and 12.5 when its not connected to the tb but still plugged in...when open throttle all the way it reads 93.3 prcnt at first i thought it was a bad tps so i bought new one and reads the exact same is this normal...any ideas?

The 96-04 MY's do not use the TPS signal in the same way as older cars. The value of the TPS is not important as it's relearned on every start up.

It's is important that the TPS return the SAME value each time the throttle is closed.

The values you are getting are NORMAL for your MY.

I'm guessing that the reason you are changing the TPS is for an idle concern. Check out the following for more information on how to trouble shoot idle issues and how the TPS is used for closed throttle and WOT determination.
