Track Pack Brembo Brakes

So my car has the track pack which comes with brembos. The weird thing is that they're red. All the ones I've ever seen have been gray with red writing while mine are red with white. Its just the front that are brembo in this package I believe. The rear are regular FoMoCo, which are also red. Could the PO have painted them? The fronts feel rubber though and the writing looks too good to be painted.

If you can post some pictures that would help us help you. And are you sure you have a track package by checking the vin?

Hopefully the po just painted them for looks.
They should look like this.

yes rims and calipers if stock. Possibly the PO put them ugly red covers on them?
The dealer window sticker says track pack. Everything I see indicates that like the oil type and boss pumpkin.
A little dirty

I actually found that part. PO must have added it. What does it do? http://www.hotpart.com/2005-2014-upper-panhard-rod-support-brace/
that is the pan hard rod, it controls lateral movement of the rear axle. that is an upgraded j&m one. it is most definitely better than stock. keep it!

Thanks. Must have been added by the PO when he lowered it. Any ideas about the brake caliper? It feels really rubbery, different than the rear. Looks too good to be painted.

If the caliper feels rubbery then it's probably a cover. I would remove the wheel and see if you can take the cover off. You caliper should be grey if it's a factory caliper. It is possible that the PO had it professionally coated but not all that likely.

Here is an example of the covers

It is most definitely a real brembo caliper. It might feel rubbery because it could be plastidip. That is unique, and will stand out. I would keep it as long as the finish lasts.

Here is a good pic of the factory caliper.

i was gunna say plasti dip too. Its for sure not a cover. Its either paint or plasti dip. The panhard is adjustable so you can center the axle when the car is lowered (which you said it already was)
interesting . . . . if it is plasti-dip, they did a heckuva nice job on the lettering

You can get the decal letting on Ebay.

I believe that blu13gt hit the nail on the head here. Those are covers especially if they feel like rubber. I believe they are useless except for aesthetic purposes.

If it is a track pack, it should have them. If the owner swapped out the breaks for covers, tricked you and sold the originals, try to get in touch with the PO and ask Him/Her if he changed out the OEM 4 Piston BB Calipers??......
No offense, but those look real to me. Send me a picture of the rotor and the pads in the carpet, a better angle.
Doesn't look like covers to me, I think the PO painted and stickered them. Would Plastidip take the heat of the brakes?? I don't think of that stuff as a high temp material. If for some reason there are covers on there I'd remove them, they will interfere with heat dissipation.
