Whats the point of the preload spring in the rear end? It looks to me that it just gets in the way of things. My cars abs and traction control is out and has never been on since I had the car, When I bought the car it had a bent rear axel, so we replaced it but the abs and traction control isn't on. I'm not sure if it was off before we did the install or not. My 2001 mustang gt would spin the tires at the track bad at stock, couldn't even give it any gas off the line. While my brothers 2002 gt could get about 1,500 rpms off the line with the traction control off! And get a great launch. He would get me off the line but my car would catch him down the strip with him running more hp then me also. I think this is because with the abs out the motor can pull more horses, this sound right? Due to the side effect of the abs monitoring the wheel spin even with the traction control off. This puzzles me, I'm just hoping new control arms due the trick with the abs and traction control off.

The preload spring in the rear end puts pressure on the clutches in the differential allowing it to put equal power to both wheels.

The rest of your post is confusing as hell.
