i'm wanting to put a standard tranny in my 65 auto 6cyl. but eventually i want to swap the engine for a bigger one, am i better off just doing both swaps at once, or will one not affect the other? and how difficult is it to do the swap?

I like to do it all at once. That way there's no duplication of effort and parts. Saves time and money.

TKO 660 would be the bullet proof choice. What kind of torque/hp are you seeing for yourself in the future?

I agree. Doing the engine and tranny swap at the same time will save you allot of time and money...not to mention it won't be as big of a headache. However what are you setting your car up for (daily driver, show, drag, road race)?

well right now i use her as a daily driver but once i get the engine re-done it'll probably be for show. but i also don't want it to be one of those "all show and no go" type of mustangs, that's why i'm doing my homework before i do anything.
