I have a 1965 with a 289 attached to a C4 transmission. I just rebuilt the engine and at the same time had the tranny sent out to have it rebuilt. I Just started the engine for the first time and let it run for thirty minutes in the garage for engine break in. at shut down I noticed that I am leaking trans fluid through the flywheel inspection plate. What could be the cause of this? is the seal between the tranny and torque converter leaking? I dont know much of anything when it comes to transmissions, is this a problem that I can drive with in order to get it back to the guy that rebuilt the transmission? any help would be appreciated.
