Hi, I hope ya'll can answer my ? I have installed an AOD transmission in my 1982 F100, 351W with 1973 Boss 302 Heads..my problem is the AOD trans is not shifting into 3 gear and OD , I have set the TV pressure at 3 psi in park and neutral, installed a return spring on TV lever to compensate the weak spring on the Lokar transmission cable, when I rev. The motor up the psi jumps to 60+ psi and does not drop back to 0 psi , do I have a sticking valve body , gov. The trans has been sitting awhile, new seals and pan gasket and filter , what have I missed or over looked in upgrading my short bed F 100 ? Thank you

When you set the pressure there should be a ford tool that you use to extend the cable a certain distance (at the throttle body), once that is done I believe the pressure should be 20-25 psi. Your best bet would be to search around on the Internet to see what you can find. You might also try some Lucas Transmission Treatment, a friend had a good luck with that in his trans that sat awhile.
