My Friend Gave Me A XR7 Transmission Today, Out Of His 93 Mercury Cougar That Was Totalled Out. The Transmission Has Just Been Rebuilt Like 800 Miles Ago. Will That Transmission Work With A 302, Thanks

The M5R2 tranny is longer than the T5, it was used on the XR7, Tbird SC and some F150s. It is a Mazda built tranny, it can handle 330 lbs of torque.

It will bolt to the 302 but the shifter wont be in the right possition. Its also meant to be used with a hydraulic clutch.

but if its an auto, as long as its a aod and not an aode it will work (connector/computer wise)
as well as bolt up

Transmissions AODE/AOD

Yea It Was An Automatic, But It Was An AODE. I Need An AOD. If Anyone Lives Around The Nashville, Tn Area, That Has An AOD That Wants To Trade For An AODE Or Sale Their AOD I Might Be Interested Or If You Have A C4 For Sale I Might Be Interested In It To. Thanks
