I am putting a 5.0 from an explorer in a 74 bronco and a 89-93 5.0 into a 79 F100. Can I take off the EGR plate and mount the throttle body right to the upper? My 97 5.0 has a 90 degree egr elbow. i plan to block off at the head to lower gasket.

yeah you can mount the TB right to the upper..no egr spacer needed if you're not going to run the EGR setup
