Tree sap removal from clearcoat.

Tree sap: well, soap and warm water don't work, next on the list is methyl hydrate, stronger yet is laquer thinner. Do it in the morning, in the shade, the paint has to be cool. I've never damaged my paint. The trick is do it lightly, and when the sap is gone, car wash soap, rinse and a light buff with detailing spray wax.

And of course, laquer thinner cleans sap off glass too. Oh, don't use a clay bar in this case. That will just smear the sap around. You want to disolve the sap chemically.

A cheap bottle of rubbing alcohol works easiest and best.........

just dampen a soft cloth with the alcohol, rub lightly on the sap, and it will come right off. Apply new coar of wax and all set. Only takes a few minutes, unless you have a large area. But this is the cheapest way to go- used it on my black Turbo T
several times with good results.
