tremec tranny

howdy
im drivin a 66 mustang w/ a 289.
I was wondering if yall knew if the Ford Racing 342 is a good motor.
But mainly i wanted to know if i can get a T-56 from tremec to fit in my car with that crate engine?
will drop eventually drop a 9in from currie w/ 3.70 gear.
