Trouble codes with sensors back on for emissions

Hey everyone, hopefully someone can help me. It is dreaded emissions time again and though I have a catted mid pipe, I have to run it with the rear sensors off or it throws codes due to the weird placement of my sensors (all 4 before the cats). It is an off road catted x pipe so to speak. I have passed emissions with this setup for years by switching to a tune with sensors on. Well, today I loaded the tune from my tuner and at about the 20 mile mark got the check engine light showing codes p1000 and p0139. I'm pretty sure this happened last year because I already had them written down. Last year I made a rig out of a non fouler plug that pulled the rear sensors out of the stream a bit, drove it 50 miles or so and passed. I think a leak is unlikely. The sensors are original from 2007. The only difference from last year is now I have cams. Any input is always greatly appreciated.

You can see if your tuner can change the cycle time for your rear o2's and then see if the code comes back after being cleared. Since it is only throwing a code for the one side you can swap them and clear the code and see if it moves to the other side. Then I would assume it's a bad sensor.
Thanks for the reply. Weird thing is today I checked for any new codes since yesterday and it says "no trouble codes found" now but my check engine light is still on. I'm guessing tomorrow I need to clear the check engine light, warm it up and go test it. If I fail, I guess I need to get a new sensor and try again.

If you clear the codes, you have to redo the drive cycle to get all monitors ready. P1000 code simply means not all emission monitors have been tested yet. If you go to an emissions place with a p1000 its an automatic fail.

Correct, I went through this on my last inspection. Had to bring it back twice before it "passed". I really think they were just tired of dealing with it.

Thanks guys, I went today and the states system was messed up luckily. Sorta got a partial test for free and showed that it would have failed. I checked for codes afterwards and p1000 and p0139 were back. nothing else though. I'm familiar with p1000, it happens before every time I prepare for the test. So I'm hoping if I replace the sensor causing p0139 and drive (what 40 or 50 miles?) that I may be able to get it to pass.

Its not just driving it. You have to run a series of tests. I got a scan tool for like 20 bucks off amazon that monitors each system for emissions.

Follow this guide exactly. Make sure fuel is at proper level and everything:
Ford Motor Company Driving Cycle
Each step is a monitor, such as evap, hego, egr etc etc that cant be skipped. All must complete to get rid of the p1000 code. I can clear a vehicle in about 40 minutes of driving following this guide, other than the 8hr mandatory park.

If you have a scan tool that can see which monitors arent ready, following that guide will tell you what you need to do to clear it.
EX 8. From a stop, accelerate to 72 Km/h (45 MPH) at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Repeat 3 times. Executes the EGR Monitor.

That scan tool that monitors emission systems has paid for itself many times over with my, friends and families vehicles.

How strict are they there? In TX we are allowed to have 2 "not ready" so technically if everything else is working it would pass with the rear o2's off.

Same in Ontario Canada. But the rear o2s off makes 3 codes. Evap monitor wont complete, neither will the cat efficiency test. One other also but I forget which.
