Hi! I am having a problem with some of the electrical system in my 98 V6 Mustang. Someone reversed the cables when jumpstarting the engine and now the speedometer, radio/clock and power locks don't work. I checked the fuses and reset the battery and that didn't work.

Any suggestions?

check the larger fuses in your engine bay about 6 inches to the right of the battery. Make sure those aren't toasted, For future reference + to + and - to - on the jump start there.

Fried alternator - possibly fired all fuses.

You'll know when the engine dies out. - happened to my friend and her jeep, someone- althoough she said she didn't have to replace her alternator but 9-10 you usually have to.

Lucky the battery didn't blow_ might need that replaced too.

The fusible link should have saved the electronic components.

You'll need to replace the link, of course.
