This is my first post, I'm trying to get my 2003 Mustang GT up and running again for the summer at the moment it hasn't started up since October 2014. It overheated on the Highway started smoking and the motor turned off and hasn't started since, it will start to crank but will not start up? 2 weeks before this happened my plastic upper intake cracked where the stem in the back connects to the heater hose, I JB welded it and it was a temporary fix as I had to fill the radiator every other day. I thought it might be a head gasket I've checked the dip stick and the oil cap for a milky oil and it look normal. If anyone has suggestions please send them my way

thanks

Check obvious things first. Start with compression check. Check fuel pressure ( I doubt this is preventing you from starting but always eliminate the possibilities first). You most likely have a blown head gasket or both but you would want to start with these things first to make sure that the engine is still capable of running and has adequate fuel pressure.

If it doesnt have enough compression it is possible it wont. Air, fuel and spark is all it takes to make an engine in theory start if it is a good engine. I would eliminate the things that it could be first just to make sure. Do you have a diagnostic scan tool to make sure it is sending a signal from the crank sensor? Do you have a noid light to check injector pulse?
