well my 2006 has its first problem . mismatch between left fender and door. i had to use a screw driver to slightly pry fender back to keep door from caving in fender. dealer said to come back monday would have to take pictures to send to ford to get authorization to fix. less than 900 miles and they may have to paint fender and door.and dealer said no rental would be furnished even though i have an extended warranty. i hope they can match paint up any comments.

Are you saying the car was like that at delivery? Why wasn't it fixed before you took it?
Was the car in an auto accident? vandalized? Are you saying that the door impacts the fender, and nobody noticed? Get the 800 number off of the ford web site and dont hang up until you have your rental car.

Good Luck:thumbsup !

mismatched panels on a new 06, and no rental??!! thats BS! they should have caught that when they did thier "quaility check" when it arrived on thier lot. id kick, scream, yell, cuss, curse, and basically throw an FN fit right there in the showroom in front of god and everyone until they gave me a rental... and when that stang gets back, the paint better match and the panels better line up or id rip somebodys a$$ across a desk! GTNOS>:sterb: <DAMN DEALER!

p.s. - yes, i know, i have a temper, but we are talking about my beautiful tungsten grey mustang so...... thats what would happen b/c i love my car that much. can you imagine what i would do to someone who was dumb enough to rear end her!!!! :eyebulge: lets just say that better not happen!
the door seemed fine at delivery i've had the car 2 months and its gotten bad over the last 2 weeks its like something got loose behind the fender,i go in monday and if i get any grief i'm asking for the owner.i would not object to them touching up the areas as its not real noticable where the paint came off but i'm going to push that the paint better match up when theyre done
It's the factory's fault
when i had washed my car i had seen a slight mismatch between fender and door on drivers side(passenger side was perfect match) but over the past 2 weeks i could start feeling it bind a little untill it bound up to where i had to pry it as i stated above. man i was poed i told the dealer i was concerned about it doing it again and he said they'd probably have to pull the fender and rework it anyway.....duh we're talking about a 2 month old car with 900 miles 'i dont take it anywhere to get door dings no less want to bind it up and destroy the fender because they couldn't get to it till monday.
Wow. My drivers fender and door or misaligned also. I havent had the chance to bring it back in. The fender sticks out more at the bottom, is not flush with the door. Like its bowed out some. Glad to see Im not the only one who has noticed this.

Even notice the line isnt = on the hood from drivers to passenger side.
One of a few things on my list on my 1st warranty visit.
get it taken care of before it becomes a paint issue like mine

the fenders must be painted seperate fron the car.....I have seen several pics of cars taken from the back facing foward down the side which will show a dark or light side tone effect of colors.... especially in metalics. all 99 thru 04 Mustangs have misaligned fenders...all of them. they are low to the door along the body line.
what about the door will it be painted on the car? my misalignment started to get worse to where it started to bind metal to metal
i';m taking car into team ford humble texas for service , i bought from its sister dealer (planet ford in spring texas) i'll let you all know how it goes, ihad to start another reply because i could not edit the other one
i took car in at 8 am today, i told service manager i really did have paint matchup concerns and would like to try touch up only. they immediately took car in and one of the 2 screw underneathwas loose, they adjusted it and touched it up and said they would GIVE me some touchup paint when it came in. i think i can slightly build up areasand being on the door/fender edge and low it doesn't stand out like a door ding and such.i told him if they painted it and i wasn't happy i'd push for an entire paint jobso we tried the touch up first and i can live with it.
Stig1950:

I bought my pony from the Humble dealership. I ended up going to the one close to Almeda and I45 because all the good techs, including the courtesy driver, abandoned ship when the Humble guys changed management.
The guys at the I45 location hire a great ding repair guy who took care of my first door ding at a reasonable price.
Let me know if you want more details if you want to go that route.

thanks ,isent you a message.
