I've decided to go turbo and I'm getting all my part together. I'm undecided wether to build my own hotside or buy one. This is the one I'm looking at. I know I will have to do some modifying to it but everything is there. Here are the ones I'm looking at

My car has the BG custom turbo headers & downpipe. When I bought the kit On3 was a new/unproven company so I went BG. But I hear good things about On3 lately. I would also vote for the mild steel kit.

There's something about my85gt's posts that make me want to spend money too. He should be selling turbo kits in his spare time. :)

I've had a Boost Brothers turbo setup since 2009 and I've had no problems with cracking (it's stainless as well). The biggest "oops" for cracking turbo headers is not having the flex-pipe in the crossover.

The eBay items looks 'ok' though I imagine chrome-plating would make them even more brittle so I'd probably pass. I also don't understand their wastegate setup - and the bolt-on flange is not what I'd want (v-band to the downpipe, and I'm not sure it that's a T3 pattern but a single-turbo T3 is likely going to be small for a 5.0). That depends on what turbo you've chosen. If in doubt, I too recommend a kit.

My experience with on3. Great product for the price. ****** company to deal with if problems arise. Buy it through Jegs so you have somebody to go through.

Turbo is a blast! You can make more power then the block will hold with stock heads.

Last warning. The little things you will need with the kit add up fast. $$
