Hi All,

So recently I've started my quest to get a car with more horsepower for the best price possible. As a college student, I'm trying to see what I can finesse for a good price. I have a great V6 1999 with a CAI, however I don't feel that the cost of adding a different exhaust system or headers is justified by the small horsepower gain. Barring selling my car that I love and upgrading to a V8, I've decided that supercharging or turbocharging my V6 would be the best way to go to get some extra kick out of the car.
I've done a lot of searching through forums and online sites trying to find the best and most cost effective way to add a turbo or super charger, however everything I find seems to point to the idea that I'll have to spend upwards of $4000 dollars for either of those. I think this is crazy, since that's more than my car as a whole is worth, so I wanted to check here to see if anyone knows any other creative alternatives to either getting a low priced turbo or supercharger, or on how to add significant horsepower another way. Also, are there any good resources for find either charger that might come off a salvaged mustang? Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Ebay turbos are extremely cheap to buy and a cheap product they dont last long at all. I found a complete turbo kit for my 09 v6 stang for 3200 including a turbo manifold which is hard to find for a v6 stang and of course weather if you go turbo or supercharger you will need a tuner. Keep in mind that big hp gains is not cheap thats why people generally go with small gains till you can afford those big gains.
